Ruth R. Armstrong, 89, of West Brownsville, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc.

Born July 24, 1913, in Monongahela, she was a daughter of the late John and Aurelia Wagner Armstrong.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Armstrong, and Donald Armstrong, who died in July 2002; one sister, Margie Miller, June 2002; and one son, Walter Brosky, 1995.

Ruth was a member of the former Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in West Brownsville.

Following in her father's footsteps, she sold markers for John Memorial in Meyersdale.

Ruth will be sadly missed by her son, Ronald Brosky and wife Ada of West Brownsville; grandchildren, Ronald Brosky of West Brownsville, Kristin Timko and husband John of Chesapeake, Va., Leigh Byrne and husband Dave of Brownsville, Carol Conner and husband Jim of California, Dara Maynard and husband Jeff, and Danny Brosky, all of Florida; great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Joshua Timko, Sarah Byrne, Brody Conner Mandy and Stephanie Maynard, all at home; one sister, Lois Stetz of Charleroi; one brother, Herbert Armstrong and wife Edith of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Sara Armstrong of West Brownsville; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the CONFER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front St., Brownsville, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert E. Ellenberger, assistant pastor of the Cherry Tree Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Uniontown, officiating.

Burial will follow in Redstone Cemetery, Brownsville.
