A funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at the Greenville Baptist Church. The Rev. Jonathan Porter will officiate, and burial will be in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30-2:30 Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Stanley was born April 12, 1914 in Greenville, Ga., daughter of the late Judge J. Render Terrell and the late Mamie Harrison Terrell. She attended Brenau College in Gainesville, Ga. and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was the wife of the late Cash M. Stanley Jr., a retired textile executive, and lived in Montgomery, Ala., Sylacauga, Ala., Danville, Va. and Mary Esther, Fla. before making her home in Macon in 1993. Over the years she was an active volunteer for the Episcopal Church, the Republican Women and the Salvation Army.
Mrs. Stanley was a sister of the late Joel Hood Terrell and the late James Render Terrell Jr., who were both former members of the Georgia State Legislature. She was a niece of the late Joseph Meriwether Terrell, who was a former Georgia Legislator, Georgia Attorney General, Georgia Governor and United States Senator.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Cash M. Stanley III, MD, Terrell and Joy Stanley, all of Macon, and David and Ceceila Stanley of Marietta; two sisters, Miss Hope Terrell of Greenville and Mrs. Jessie Terrell Doughtie of Columbus, Ga.; five grandchildren, Ren Stanley, Katie Stanley, Will Stanley, Christopher Miller and Jonathan Miller.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greenville Baptist Church.
