Helen G. Seay 96, of rural Dalton City, passed away at 2:52 pm, on Sunday, August 11, 2013 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the Mt. Zion Township Cemetery with Rev. Joel Stevenor officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion.
Mrs. Seay was born January 25, 1917, in the family home east of Mt. Zion, the daughter of Sidney M and Lena N (McDaniel) Smith. She married John A. Seay on December 6, 1945. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2001.
Surviving are her son: David Seay and his wife Lesley of Decatur; daughter: Becky Seay of Dalton City; grandchildren: Dawn Kummer and her husband Michael of Milton, WI, Joy Fahl and her husband Scott of Mt. Washington, KY; step-grandchildren: Rachel Marconi and her husband John of St. Louis, MO, Lindsey Proffitt and her husband Paul of Clinton; great-grandchildren: Kasey Benton, Josh Kummer, Jessica Fahl, and Jennifer Fahl; step-great grandchildren: Chris Kummer, Ryan Kummer, Layla Proffitt, and Brooklinn Marconi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Mack.
