EMORY - E.H. "L" Luckett, 78, of Emory died Thursday at his home.

Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. today at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Smith officiating.

Burial is in Smyrna Cemetery.

He was born in Emory on Oct. 3, 1919 to George W. and Florence Woodson Luckett.

He and Elbertene Wade Luckett were married on Nov. 1, 1941.

He was a rancher and was employed by Ivan Alexander. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife of Emory; two sons, Wayne and Ronnie Luckett, both of Emory; two brothers, G.W. Luckett of Canton and Clifford Luckett of Emory; three sisters, Mattie Ivie of Emory, Dollie Trimble of Emory and Betty F. Black of California; 8 grandchildren and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Ivan Alexander, Bobby Kile, Larry Reed, Don McLeroy, Doug McClister, and Winston Gilliam.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Potts, Mike Lanham, Don Valentine, Jim Mac Taylor, Lee Holt, A.R. Peal and A.C. Lawson.
