Wilhelmina Miller was born in the Province of Posen,Germany September 29, 1846. She came to America in October, 1869 and located in Rippen, Wis. where she was united in marriage to Wm. F. Schultz on February 15, 1870. They moved to Sigourney March 18, 1871.
Mrs. Schultz left home on Sunday, ------1912 in good spirits to have an operation at University of Chicago, but the operation was (fatal)as she died on the operating table, never coming out from the influence of the ether. It was a great shock to her many relatives and friends.
She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and seven daughters. Mrs. Frank Curry, Jerome, Mrs. Homer Fear,
Green City, Mo,; Mrs. Nelson Lamb, Mrs. Joe Tancer, Mrs. Walter Curry, Mrs. Herman Albrecht, and Mrs. Robert Schultz of What Cheer.
Two children preceded her in death, one child dying in infancy and one daughter Flora (Dora) dying seven years ago.
There was also left to mourn, one sister Mrs. Gottleib Schlazer, thirteen grandchildren and a large number of friends. She was a kind and loving wife and mother. She united with the Lutheran Church forty years ago and was a faithful member up to the time of her death.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 22 at 2 p.m. in the German Lutheran Church, Rev. Cordes conducting the services. A large number of friends were in attendence. She was laid to rest in the German Cemetery close by.
