GIBSONBURG: Marian L. Schroeder, age 100, of Gibsonburg, OH passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH.

She was born on January 11, 1913 in Lindsey, OH to Hugo and Augusta (Krienkamp) Mauch. On June 23, 1934 she married Alfred Schroeder in Hessville, OH and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1990. Marian was a wonderful homemaker who worked on the family farm along side her husband. They also raised chickens and tended to a large garden. She was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH, Solomon's Women's Circle and helped cook dinners for funerals and Kiwanis meetings. Family and friends will remember her angel food cakes where her children and grandchildren received one for every birthday. Marian loved to talk about politics, the country and was always concerned for her family. In 2007 she took her first airplane trip and was very excited.

Surviving Marian is her children: Howard (Penny) Schroeder of Fremont, OH, Bob (Mary) Schroeder of Gibsonburg, OH; grandchildren: Jerry (Marty) Richter of Defiance, OH, Jim Richter of Bettsville, OH, Dave (Robin) Richter of Gibsonburg, OH, Diane Lang of Bowling Green, OH, Kimberly (Schroeder) Jude of Marysville, OH, Tim (Ashley) Schroeder of Gibsonburg, OH, Alan Schroeder of Pittsburgh, PA; great grandchildren: Sam (Lindsey) Richter, Justin Richter, Nick Richter, Amy (Jake) Venier, Nate Richter, Susan Lang, Jennifer Lang, Rebecca Lang, Katelyn Lang, Allison Schroeder, Holley Schroeder, Caden Jude, Kylie Jude; great great grandchildren: Emma Venier, Aksle Venier; and brother: Chet and Betty Mauch of Lindsey, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Alfred, daughter: Ruth (Dale) Richter, sisters: Alice Ansted, Jeanette Lorenz and Esther Yeagle.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 11 AM from Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH, where there will be additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Kristina Ahlman. Interment will be Gibsonburg Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at Solomon Lutheran Church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
