Lorene Ellis, 71, of York died Monday, Oct. 9, 1989 in Omaha.
She was born Sept. 22, 1918 to Henry and Myrtle (Wendell) Hockom. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of York, the PEO and the American Legion, VFW and York General Hospital auxiliaries. She was also a member of the Sarah Circle.
She was married Feb. 7 1945 in York to Leonard Ellis. He died in April of 1988.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in York with the Rev. Bob Call officiating. Burial will be in York's Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials to the York Community Foundation.
