Simon P. Fritz, aged 78, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Menser, of Somerset township, on August 22. Mr. Fritz was a well-known retired farmer, and for many years operated a farm near Pine Hill, in Brothersvalley township. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon. The Rev. J. C. McCarney, pastor of the Friedens Lutheran church officiated. Interment was made in the Hays church cemetery in Brothersvalley township.
