Arnold C. Snortum, 70, of Adams, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at Dexter.

He was born June 30, 1931, in Marshall Township, Minn., to Carl and Elsie (Huntley) Snortum.

He attended Adams High School. He farmed the family's farm in the Marshall Township for most of his life.

He enjoyed working with and fixing his radios and televisions. He also enjoyed drawing cartoons.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Marshall Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his brother, Nordeen Snortum, Adams; sister, Elaine Johnson, Fairchild, Wis.; half-brother, Harold Rosenthal, Springfield, Ore.; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his half-brother, Alvin Rosenthal.

Service: 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at Marshall Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Kastner officiating. Organist will be Charlotte Anderson and the soloists will be Jan Johnson and Richard Nagel. Casket bearers will be John Anderson, Kenneth Binkley, Roy Hamilton, Luvern Hanson, Dale Johnson and Jon Shaw.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Adams Funeral Home and on Friday at the church one hour before the service.

Interment: Marshall Lutheran Cemetery.
