OBITUARY-
Raymond Gordon Harrington, age 76, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, from injuries he received in a farm accident.

He was born June 7, 1925, in Red Rock Township, to Verner J. Harrington and Iva Noffsinger Harrington.

They moved from Mayville in March of 1936 to east of Taopi in the Lodi Township. He went to school through the eighth grade in Taopi and quit school to work on the farm.

He married Shirley Jean Boe on Jan. 14, 1947, at the Marshall Lutheran Church. Together, they farmed on the homestead east of Taopi. Shirley died in 1994.

Raymond was actively interested in farming and his horses.

His is survived by one daughter, Linda (Doug) Bergan, Lanesboro; three sons, Michael (Mary) Harrington, LeRoy; Brian (Penny) Harrington, Adams; Douglas (Lisa) Harrington, LeRoy; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Hertel; Viola O'Conner; one brother, Verner "Bud" Faye Harrington, all of Austin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers, Don, Clifford, Everett and Leonard; and one sister, Evelyn.

Service: 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at LeRoy Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tom Kolden officiating.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Interment: Marshall Lutheran Cemetery near Adams.
