Mrs. Dorothy Mae Arnold, 42, 1504 Eighth Avenue, Belvidere, formerly of Quincy, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 20, 1982) in Highland Hospital, Belvidere, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Wheeling, Mo., on Nov. 1, 1939, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn Howerton Drummond. She attended Quincy schools and had lived in Belvidere for 10 years. She married Russell D. Arnold on Dec. 29, 1956, in Quincy. He survives.

Surviving are her mother, of Quincy; four sons, Danny, Randy, Marty, and Rusty, all of Belvidere; three daughters, Mrs. Debbie Pinkston and Nancy Arnold, both of Belvidere, and Mrs. Becky Van Dyke of Rock Island; two brothers, Richard and Arthur Drummond of Quincy; five sisters, Mrs. Vivian Miles, Mrs. Mildred Donhart, Mrs. Shirley Cookson and Mrs. Edith Cookson, all of Quincy, and Mrs. Bernice Nichols of Fort Madison, Iowa, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Curry Funeral Home in Mendon, conducted by the Rev. John D. Bainum. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery in Ursa.
