John E. Campbell was born December 1,1921 to parent of Fred Campbell and Maude Ruhs Campbell. John entered the Army (WW2), fought at the Battle of the Bulge, he received many metals including the Purple Heart. After returning home,John and his brothers started a business of selling feed and a trucking company. In the late 1950's he married Louise Hall Campbell where they moved to a farm west of Guthrie Center, Iowa. John remained on the farm where with the assistance of his brothers and son Mike, they kept on trucking and running the farm business until the late 90's when his wife and John (retired) moved to town in Guthrie Center Iowa.
