OBITUARY-
Joan L. Hardecopf, 59, of Rochester, died Friday, May 10, 2002, at Seasons Hospice of cancer.

She was born Joan Lucille Thompson on July 5, 1942, in Albert Lea. On June 8, 1992, she married Neal Hardecopf in Rochester.

She moved to Rochester in 1949 and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1960. She worked in financial services at IBM in Rochester and later in the San Jose, Calif. and Tucson, Ariz. plants before returning to Rochester in 1983. She worked at IBM for 25 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of the IBM Quester Century Club.

She enjoyed ballroom dancing, home crafts and traveling.

Survivors include husband, Neal Hardecopf, Rochester; mother, Lucille Thompson, Rochester; sisters, Betty Badger, Rochester; Darlene Adler, Rochester; Judy (David) Zimmerman, Rochester; brother, Roger Thompson, Richfield.
She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation: No evening visitation or reviewal.

Service: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert N. Dunn officiating.

Interment: At a later date at Marshall Lutheran Church Cemetery, Adams.

Funeral Home: Vine Funeral Home, Rochester.

Memorials: To Seasons Hospice.
