"* In view of what Grandfather tells us about his early life, we are not surprised that an error apparently crept in regarding his birthdate. The microfilmed record of the Parochial Register of the Births, Glasgow, on file in the Genealogical Library, Salt Lake City, shows the 'Rober McKail, son of John McKail and Jocobina Wilson, was born February 11, 1824.' (F Scot. 6 Pt. 976 Vol. 31 1824 p. 346.)"
