Morris - Stephen Conner, 65, design engineer, died Wednesday. Service 1 p.m. Monday, First United Methodist Church, Claremore, and graveside service 3:30 p.m. Monday, Ramona Cemetery, Ramona. Stumpff, Bartlesville.

Steve served in the United States Navy for four years and was stationed on board the USS Constellation during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was employed at Reda Pump 26 years, at Woodgroup ESP for 9 years and began S C Consulting in 2008. Steve traveled extensively and was well known in the ESP industry. Steve was a member in the United Methodist Church, International Society of Petroleum Engineers, and Rogers County Wood working group, Patriot Guard Riders, Volunteer Fireman and Caney Valley Board of Education.

He was preceded in death by his parents Barbara and Eugene Conner, and a sister Karen Jeanne Bell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 19, 2013 in the First United Methodist Church in Claremore, Oklahoma with Dr. George Warren and Dr. Ray Crawford officiating. Interment will be in the Ramona Cemetery at 3:30 PM on Monday, under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established, and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Mr. Conner may do so to: Patriot Guard Riders of Oklahoma 616 NW 21st, Moore, Oklahoma 73160.
