MRS. HALLIE COODY PASSES AWAY
COODY WOMAN SUCCUMBS FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. Hallie M. Coody, 59 years of age, wife of J.T. Coody, prominent farmer living 14 miles east of Lawton died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock following an illness of about two months although she has been in bad health for the past four years. Besides her husband, she leaves five sons, Edward, Grover, Homer, Roy and Joe. All five live in the neighborhood. All are married except Joe, who lives at home and all live in the home neighborhood except Homer, who lives in Lawton. Her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Myers, live at Marietta, Oklahoma and will attend her funeral. Mrs. Coody was a member of the Woodman Circle, Lawton Lodge, also was converted and united with the Baptist Church over forty years ago at Blanton, Hill Co., Texas. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Letitia Baptist Church Rev. M.W. prestige officiating. Burial was made in the Letitia Cemetery with Ritter's in charge. Mrs. Coody was well and favorably known in Lawton and surrounding community and has many friends who regret her passing and extend their sympathy to the bereaved family.
