Jan Hines, 62, passed away August 15, 2013 at Unity Point Health Des Moines Methodist. She was born March 29, 1951 in Des Moines, to William and Hazel Hines.
Jan was a teacher for 30 years before retiring in 2007. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her strength and continuous smile.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Johannah (Drew) Cole; grandchildren, Talan, Anna and Kenedy; parents, Bill and Hazel Hines; brothers, Dennis (Joyce) and Randy (Gale) Hines; long-time friend, Soni Nelson; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
