Dottie was born on September 3, 1931, in Ravenwood, MO. Her parents were Ben and Dora (Frampton) Joyner, and preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her brother, Harold Joyner. She had lived most all her life in the Maryville area and was a homemaker.
She loved following her grandchildren's sports activities, cooking, gardening, playing bridge, and crocheting.
On August 8, 1951, Dottie was united in marriage to Dayle J. Shipps, in Ravenwood, MO, he survives of the home in Maryville, MO. She is also survived by 2 sons, Michael (JoAnn) Shipps, Maryville, MO, and Joe (Lisa) Shipps, Maitland, MO; 2 sisters Lettie Schultz, and Shirley (J.R.) Schmidt, both of Maryville, MO; 4 grandchildren, Traci Shipps, Kristen Shipps, Brittany Shipps, and Sam Shipps.
Mrs. Shipps has been cremated and a memorial visitation will be held from 2-4:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO. Inurnment will be later at the Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, MO.
