Brad Alan Jelinek, 40, Wilber, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1972, to Dennis and Sharon (Cerveny) Jelinek.
Brad grew up on a farm west of Wilber and attended Wilber-Clatonia High School where he graduated in 1991.
Brad and Carin (Samples) were married on Nov. 12, 1994. They made their home west of Wilber.
Brad has two sons, Dustin Dean and Devin Edward. Brad was a dedicated son, brother, husband, and father.
He was currently employed at Doane College and of course continued to farm.
He is survived by his wife Carin; sons Dustin and Devin; mother Sharon Jelinek, Wilber; sisters and brother-in-law April Walker, rural Wilber, and Katie and Brian Zoubek, Western; sisters-in-law and brothers in law Chris and Dave Lane, Candy and Tom Jones, Cindy and Allan Zajicek, Cheryl and Jeff Bice, Gary and Linda Samples, Bob Sell, Ed and Karen Samples, Gene Samples, Jim Samples, Kevin and Nancy Samples and Jerry and Shirley Samples; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his dad Dennis Jelinek; grandparents Fred and Bessie Jelinek, Ed and Erma Vlasak and Ben Cerveny; aunt Lavina McElroy; other aunts, uncles, cousins and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral service was on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in Wilber at Sokol Hall.
Interment was at Wilber Czech Cemetary.
Pallbearers were Kevin Zumpfe, Jason Richtarik, Dave Korinek, Allen "Bubba" Hormandl, Jr., B.J. Zalesky and Sammy Sanchez.
