Laurel Boy Dies While at Play on Ranch Near Home

George Reichert, 13-year old son of David Reichert, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at the ranch home of J. J. Krug, three miles south of Laurel. Dr. Broughton of Laurel was called to the place at once but found the boy dead upon his arrival. Apoplexy was given as the cause of death.

The young man, whose home is on Whitehorse bottom southwest of Laurel, had been staying in Laurel with his sister, Mrs. Katherine Fox and going to school. He was in the eighth grade. George had gone to the Krug ranch Sunday afternoon to play with one of the Krug boys who was a classmate. The boys had been playing for a couple of hours when the heart attack struck George without warning.

George Reichert was born near Laurel, February 26, 1915.

He is survived by his father, two brothers, David and Jacob and by seven sisters, Mrs. H. Webber, Washington; Mrs. Phillip Popp, Billings, Mrs. J. G. Grauberger, Wisconsin; Mrs. Catherine Fox, Laurel; Mrs. J. Metsker, Laurel, and Elizabeth and Mollie Reichert at home.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon from Mrs. Fox's residence at 1:30 o'clock and at the German Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. H. E. Vomhof officiating. Interment will be made in the Laurel cemetery.
