In 1905 Mrs. Lavinia Cole Roberts wrote of her recollections of the start of the war to her parents' deaths and afterwards. Full of history. I found the probate of her father's estate on Ancestry, it is many pages and is very interesting. His daughter Miss Mary C. Cole was the Executrix.
