Janell Saran Wright, 56, was called to her heavenly home at 6:20 a.m. on August 10, 2013 in her Marion home.

Janell was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on June 8, 1957 to the late Lawrence "Kitty" Williams and Helen Nonnette.

Janell attended Susan Miller Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, California. Later she completed a two year computer programming degree. She was first joined in union with Ronald Nooner. Together they had daughters, Valeska Nooner and Veronica (Roderick) Williams. Her second marriage to Stephen Jackson, Sr. produced two children, Stephen Jackson, Jr. and Victoria Jackson. On May 8, 1997, she married Allen Wright. He survives in their Marion home. She gave life to Jay Wright and accepted Allen's two children, A'Jaysa Smith and Richard Hamilton, as her own.

Throughout her life she made many friends, including Gretchen White and Teresa Campbell. After working for River Bend helping others, she was hired by St. Martin Community Center where she served the hungry. She loved her work with St. Martin's so much that it became part of her everyday life and conversation. She never met a stranger and always had kind words of encouragement.

Her additional survivors include mother, Helen Nonnette, California; sisters, Carol Williams Davis, Alesia Calvin and Donna McRorie; brother, Russell Williams; 13 grandchildren whom she loved and adored; and a host of nieces and nephews.
