Sue Stephens, 66, of Amarillo died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Crossroads Country Church, 11910 Brooks Circle, with Bob Miller, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Stephens was born April 22, 1947, in Amarillo to Joe and Roxie Brownlee. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1964. Mrs. Stephens worked for Amarillo Independent School District at Pleasant Valley Elementary School for 24 years and at Windham School System for Clements Unit for 14 years. She played on Amarillo city volleyball league for more than 30 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Stephens of Muskogee, Okla.; two sons, Cody Stephens and Rhett Stephens, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Donna Gudgell of Hereford and San Travis of Glenrio, N.M.; a brother, Joel Brownlee of Childress; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to Amarillo Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 11901 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79119.
