INEZ ASHURST
Inez Ashurst, widow of Judge Edward B. Ashurst, was buried Wednesday this week in the Wickenburg.
Funeral services were that morning in the Payson Hospital.
Though she had resided in Payson the past six years, Mrs. Ashurst had been a resident of Wickenburg with her lawyer husband since 1944. She served as legal secretary for her husband since their marriage in 1917.
Judge Ashurst, who was a circuit court judge in Oregon before coming to Arizona, died in 1971 and is interred in Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Ashurst was born in Port Hadlock, Wash.
Survivors include two sons, Aaron E. Kingman and Henry F. Payson, a brother, C. Gordon Morris of Medford, Ore.; five sisters, Effie Smith of Cave Junction, Ore., Frances Smith of Grants Pass, org., Margaret Morris of Bend, Ore., Anne Tellvik of Albany, Ore., and Ruth Bayliss of Roseburg, Ore., 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
