James D. Fitzgerald, 87, of Spring City, formerly of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Southeastern Pa. Veterans Center, Spring City, PA.
James was born in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Charles W. Sr. Fitzgerald and the late Helen (Carr) Fitzgerald.
James was employed as a Machinist for Brooks Instrument for 30 years.
He was an attender of Immanuel Leidy's Church, Souderton, and a former member of Living Faith Fellowship, Harleysville, PA.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to Kempton Music Concerts, Listening to his record collection,
He is survived by his sons, James D. Fitzgerald, JR and wife Margaret of Riegelsville, PA and Sherwood Roth and wife Gladys of Souderton, PA.: his grandchildren James III, Christine, Tiffany, Danielle, Tyler, Hezekiah, and Anthony:; his eight great-grandchildren,, Abigail, Hunter, Cooper, Josiah, Aubrey, Riley and Fareed,: his brothers Paul W. Fitzgerald and wife Wilma of OK and Stanley Fitzgerald of New York State.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Sally (Rickerd) Fitzgerald and a son, Randy Fitzgerald.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964. where friends may meet with the family from 10 to 11 am. Burial will take place at Rockhill Mennonite Cemetery.
