DEATH CALLS ANOTHER PAROWAN WOMAN

Death came at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning to Mrs. Avis Clark Evans, wife of Wm. A. Evans of this city. Mrs. Evans has not had good health for many months, and since August of this year she has been bedfast practically all the time, and has been getting weaker and weaker so that her death was not unexpected.

Mrs. Evans was prominent in educational, church and civic affairs so long as her health permitted, having been a teacher in the schools here for several years, and also in the Sunday School and Primary. She was also city recorder for one or two terms during the administration of H.D. Bayles.

We failed to get details concerning time and place of her birth, etc, but will try to get that information for our next issue.

Funeral services were held this afternoon, at which Messrs. L.N. Marsden, S.A. Matheson, John W. Bentley, David Matheson and Mrs. Annie Gurr were the speakers. A quarted was sang by Mr. and mrs. Rex C. Ward, Mr. L. Nelson Marsden and Mrs. Arvilla Halterman, and Mrs. S.L. Burton and Mrs Ervin Stevens sang a duet.
