Mrs. Ethel Alston Barroll, wife of F. Lewis Barroll, vice president of the Girard Trust Corn Exchange, died yesterday at Germantown Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Barroll lived at the Rittenhouse Claridge, 18th and Walnut Sts. She was the daughter of James Alston Cabell and Ethel Hoyt. The Cabell were among the first families in Richmond, Va. Mrs. Barroll was vice president of the Colonial Dames and was a member of the Daughters of Cincinnati.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. J. Ewing Walker of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Carter M. Turpin of Richmond, a son F. Lewis Barroll, Jr. and three grandchildren.

Funeral service Church of the Messiah, Gwynedd. Burial will be private.
