Eric P. Scruggs Jr., 88, of Little Rock, passed away July 6, 2010.

Born in Humnoke, Arkansas to Eric P. and Ruth Turner Scruggs, he retired after 22 years as a real estate appraiser with the Army Corps of Engineers.

He graduated from the University of Arkansas and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a submariner in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Burrfish and the USS Boarfish. He was a member of the England Masonic Lodge #507 and Immanuel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Arbra Morrow Scruggs; son, Eric P. Scruggs III and wife, Cindy of Alexander; daughter, Sarah Scruggs Marshall and husband, Ronnie of DeRitter, Louisiana; granddaughter, Shea Scruggs Lee (Patrick) of Maumelle; grandsons, Eric P. Scruggs IV (Krista) of Maumelle, Scott Aaron Marshall (Ashley) of Houston, Texas and Reiter Ford Marshall of New Orleans, Louisiana; four great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters; sister, Ellouise Way and nephew, Brad Way, both of Jacksonville, Florida; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the England Masonic Lodge #507, c/o Larry Keeth, Secretary, 1958 Grant 36, Prattsville, Ark. 72129.
