Betty Minton, age 79, passed away on August 29, 2017. 
Betty was born in Atkinson, NE on February 15, 1938 to Michael and Lauretta Troshynski.  Betty was a homemaker, military wife and mother to all.  
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard "Dick" Minton in 2009. 
Betty is survived by her sister, Leona Hershiser of O’Neill, NE, her brother and his wife, Jim and Betti Troshynski of Atkinson, NE and brother-in-law and his wife, Larry Minton and Lois.  Betty is also survived by her six children and their spouses, Rose Minton, Mardelle and Rudy Morrow, Miriam Minton, Kathy and James Ward, Tim and Melissa Minton and Colleen and Tim Burns, her beloved grandchildren, Melanie and Trey Boothe, Rebecca Minton and William Allen, Michaela Morrow, Kaitlyn and Brandon Ward, Angelina Minton, Timothy, Brianna and Ty Minton and Riley and Lucas Burn, her “Greats” who lovingly called her Gigi, Landen and Lily Boothe.  
Betty was loved dearly by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and classmates of the St Mary’s Academy, Class of 1956. 
Betty loved to go camping, dance with her husband and entertain. Betty leaves a legacy of love in her children and their families. Betty was a proud member of the American Legion #49, Loyal Order of the Moose Women #1517 and Elks Lodge #461.   
Betty’s family would especially like to recognize the staff and caretakers at Brookdale and Elan Santa Monica. Mom was looked after from a dedicated staff of loving and concerned caretakers. Every level of employee treated mom with love and respect. Bless you all for the gift you give to others through your talents. We will never forget.   
We believe she is reunited with our Father and all her family and friends who went before her.  We love you Mom and we will miss you.   
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at French – Wyoming. Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Mandy's Farm, 3501 Campus Blvd. NE, Albuquerque NM 87106.
