"In memory of my cousin. Buried in an unmarked grave. Pearl Lou Vance, the daughter of William Henry and Drucilla Jane Vance, was born in Altoga, Collin Co, TX, on March 6, 1895.

She married Claude Bartlett on June 13, 1912. Their son, Robert Steve was born in Kaufman Co, TX, on October 15, 1914.

Sadly her short time on earth was ended on August 26, 1916, after suffering from malaria and pneumonia. Fifteen years later her beloved husband, Claude, was buried beside her."

Pearl had a zest for life and a good sense of humor. She grew in a large family, greatly influenced by the love of her parents & her father's work as a minister of the gospel.

She brought joy into the lives of all who knew her.
