Mary Lou (Hamel) Allison passed on to her heavenly life on Friday, August 28, 2020 at University Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she resided for the last seventeen years.

Mary Lou was born February 24, 1920 and was a life-long resident of Evansville. Since celebrating her 100th birthday with family and friends her health failed. She was a Reitz graduate, and worked at Sears while raising a family of six children. She enjoyed traveling, and visited her children wherever they lived, both domestically and internationally. Along with friends, she and her husband, camped and traveled frequently when she wasn't gardening, entertaining family or bridge groups.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Claudette (Earl) Becher of St. Joseph, MI, Rebecca Miller of Monument, CO, Michael (Una) Allison of Aurora, IL, Edward (Kelly) Allison of San Diego, CA, and Patrick (Ruth) Allison of Poseyville, IN. She also leaves behind a family legacy of thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Allison; a daughter, Marilyn Weimer, infant son Steven, along with her parents Clarence and Tomi Hamel.

Funeral services for Mary Lou will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Theodore Tempel officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
