Edward Johnson was the second son of John & Martha Jefferson Bull and was born in Scott County after the family had moved from Texas to Arkansas. Records show that brothers Edward Johnson and John Alexander went to Fayetteville to enlist in the Military. Federal Records show that E.J. did not survive the war. He was accidently killed in Waldron Arkansas about one month after his enlistment and buried there in Waldron. Later he was moved from Scott County to the National Cemetery in Fort Smith Arkansas. Federal Records do not show that John Alexander Bull served in the war, so he was hurt or for some reason did not servein the military. He also did not return home, but went to the Leavenworth Home for Soldiers and lived their until his death in 1895 and is buried in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Hopefully someday a family member can close this loop of what happened to the two Bull brothers lost to the War.
