Stephen "Steve" Glenn Pratt of Columbia died Tuesday, May 12, 2009. He was 57.
He was born Sept. 6, 1951 in Columbia to Glenn and Margaret Pratt.
Mr. Pratt attended Hickman High School and graduated in 1969. He was baptized in his childhood and became a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia. Mr. Pratt attended MU before being drafted into the Army where he served in the United States Security Agency stationed in Sinop, Turkey. Mr. Pratt met his former wife, Lori Pickard, in Belleville, Ill., and they were married on July 28, 1973. They lived in Florida for many years before returning to the Belleville area.
He is survived by his mother; a brother, Philip Pratt of Simi Valley, Calif.; a nephew, Brian Pratt of Simi Valley, Calif.; and several cousins.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. May 23, and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Truman Veterans Hospital, c/o Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W., Columbia, MO 65201.
