He wrote titles for a number of late-period silent films, including "The Sorrows of Satan" (1926), "Wings" (1927), "Rolled Stockings" (1927), "The Way of All Flesh" (1927), "Shanghai Bound" (1927), "Abie's Irish Rose" (1928), "The Docks of New York" (1928) and "The Case of Lena Smith" (1929). Film editing credits include "Manhandled" (1924) and "Beau Geste" (1926). He worked as a story editor at 20th Century-Fox Studios from 1932 to 1957, and spent time in New York as an editor for Cosmopolitan and Photoplay magazines.
