DEATH CALLS AGED PAROWAN LADY
We learn as we go to press that Mrs. Annie Davenport of this city passed away at her home here yesterday afternoon after several days severe illness. Pneumonia is given as the direct cause of death. She is about 78 years old, the wife of Wm. Davenport, deceased, and is survived by several children and grand children, to whom we extend sincere sympathy in the loss of their mother and grandmother. She and her husband were prominent among early builders of the community which has been her home for so many years and in her demise we lose another of those sturdy founders of this city. More details regarding her lifes activities together with an account of the funeral time which is not yet fixed, will be given next week.
