Peggy Delores Kirkman, 81 of Joplin passed away at 7;45 a.m. on Sunday August 11, 2013 at National Healthcare Center. Born April 2, 1932 in Joplin, she was the daughter of the late Edward E.Kirkman and Edna M. Green Kirkman and was a lifetime Joplin resident. She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephon Company from August 7, 1951 until retiring on December 31, 1983 with 32 years of service. She was a member of the Pioneer Club of Southwestern Bell and enjoyed playing bingo.

A brother Charles Kirkman of Ft Scott KS.preceded her in death. Survivors include two nieces, Nyla Rae Davis of Sioux City Ia. and Paula Howard and husband Larry of Arcadia KS. three great nieces and several cousins. She had several very special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday at Parker Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1p.m. Wednesday until service time at the mortuary.
