Mr. Brent, a member of the Bardwell Baptist Church, was a son of the late John and Clarissia Brent. His wife, Mrs. Pearl Stevens Brent, died in 1945.
He was a former state highway department employee and a retired farmer.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. B. R. Samuels, Clinton; two sons, William B. Brent, Clarksville, Tenn., and Raymond Brent, East St. Louis; three sisters, Mrs. Trusie Davis, Mrs. Lula Stevens and Mrs. Era Brown, all of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchidren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Milner Funeral Home by the Rev. J. W. Crowley and the Rev. Judson Lambert, with burial in Bardwell Cemetery.
