Mrs. Jefferson died Monday at the St. Luke's hospital, New Bedford, after several days' illness. She was a native of Wareham, the daughter of Myron O. Sears and the late Mrs. Clarence Cobb. She was an active member of the Wareham M. E. church, teaching one of the Sunday School classes. She was a member of the Quasuet council, D. of P., and the West Wareham Grange, and was prominent in amateur dramatic circles.

Besides her husband and father she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ray Bearse of Hyannis; a brother, Curtis Sears of Wareham; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman B. Keyes or Wareham; a grandfather, Benjamin Sears of Wareham; an uncle, Ernest F. Keyes of Wareham; and three aunts, Mrs. Rachael Hall of Falmouth, Miss Susie Sears of Wareham, and Mrs. Elva Washburn of South Carver.

Funeral services of Mrs. Eleanor F. Jefferson 28, wife of George H. Jefferson of 650 Main Street, Wareham, were held at the Wareham Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, with the Rev. Ralph F. Seaver, Jr. pastor, officiating. Mr. Seaver sang, "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go." The Degree of Pocahontas service was conducted at the grave by Mrs. Gladys Crittenden, presiding officer of the council. A wealth of beautiful flowers showed the esteem of her many friends. Burial was at the Center cemetery.
