Her Obit appeared in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Thursday, August 7, 2008.

It reported that "Eva Laura Riley, 98, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008, in Fort Worth.

"Eva Laura Riley lived a long, full life as an east Fort Worth resident. She graduated from Polytechnic High School and attended Brantley Business College. She retired from Atlantic Richfield Oil Co. after 27 years and continued working at WBAP Broadcasting for another five years.

Having served as a local, state and international president of the Telecommunicators Business Women, she traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico, making official appearances at the Seattle World's Fair and on numerous live television broadcasts. She was particularly proud of being issued a firearm and named as an honorary member of the Harris County Mounted Posse in Houston.

As a lifelong member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church, she often served as the church pianist and sang in the choir for over 40 years while also teaching youth, singles and young adult Bible classes. She was among the original founders of Camp Sagamore, an annual church-sponsored youth camp where she served as a counselor and treasurer.

Eva Laura enjoyed singing and playing the piano, keyboards and ukulele in a number of senior bands throughout the Metroplex. Her bands twice took first place at the State Fair of Texas. She was a collector of rare coins and stamps and was very accomplished at making porcelain dolls and ceramic figurines and Christmas ornaments.

To her family, she was known as "Mommo." She filled all our lives with love and joy. She viewed everything in her life as a gift from God and she was intent upon sharing what she had received with others. Everyone who ever visited her home went away with some type of gift, "just for fun." She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen G. Riley; son, Owen G. Riley Jr.; and son-in-law, Howard Kliever.

Survivors: Daughter, Margaret Kliever; grandsons, David Kliever and wife, Laurel, Donny Kliever and friend, Debbie Kliever, and Owen G. Riley III; great-grandsons, Doug, Brad, Matt, Ben and Jake Kliever; sister, Emma McCammon and husband, Charles; brother, Charles Looney and wife, Evelyn; and daughter-in-law, Rose Marie Riley."
