West Union Man Dies of Gun Wound
West Union—Noel Rose, 49, West Union plumber, died Tuesday afternoon without regaining consciousness from a gunshot wound in his head.
Fayette county attorney Mark Buchheit is investigating the shooting.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, John, 17, and another son, 6.
Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Burnham and Wood funeral home at West Union and at 2 at the Toddville Methodist church at Toddville.
Rose and his eldest son had been taking turns shooting sparrows in the back yard at the Rose home with a rifle when the accident occurred. Waterloo Daily Courier, May 25, 1960
