Robert M. "Bob" Bennett, 81, of Malden, Missouri, died Monday, July 7, 2008 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Born Feb. 17, 1927, at Malden, son of Boyd L. and Nora Hunsaker Bennett, he was a retired electrician specialist from AECI, New Madrid Power Plant and Co-founder of Bennett's Pools and Spas, an army veteran serving in Germany during WWII and a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Malden.

On Feb. 17, 1947 at Clarkton, Missouri, he married Flo Greenlee, who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Brenda Spears and husband, Ronnie, of Auburndale, Florida, and Lisa Bennett of Ead, Tennessee; two sons, Dale Bennett and wife, Mary Ann, of Ball, Louisianna, and Bobby Bennett and wife, Jackie, of Malden; four grandchildren, Stephanie Casimiro, Stacie Spears, and Chip and Krissy Bennett; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Addie Edwards of Florida.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Landess Funeral Chapel at Malden.

There will be a private funeral service for the family at Landess Funeral Home, with Rev. Aulden LaBlanc officiating.

Memorials may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church of Malden.
