Walter Scott Dent was born November 19, 1856 near Bismarck. He was a retired ticket agent, retiring in 1927, and after his wife died in 1934, he moved in with his son Paul Dent.
Walter died Wednesday night at Bothwell hospital, aged 90 years. He is survived by his son Paul, and a brother T. P. Dent, of Salem. - Sedalia Democrat - Thursday, September 18, 1947 pg.4
