Fred Wenzlaff, 75, a retired Wenona farmer and brother of Leo Wenzlaff of this city, died this morning at 6 o'clock in St. Mary's Hospital where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. He had been in failing health for three years. The body was taken to the Thierry Funeral Home in Wenona where friends may call after 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon.


The remains will be moved to the Zion Lutheran Church in Wenona at non Monday with services to be there at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Victor Lehenbauer. Burial will be in the Zion cemetery.


The deceased, the son of Frederick and Emelie (Ulm) Wenzlaff, was born December 9, 1881 in Osage Township. His marriage to Louise Hecht took place in Ewington Township, Minnesota, October 18, 1908 and the couple became the parents of four children. They farmed both in the Toluca and Wenona areas and retired in 1953, moving to a newly built home in Wenona.


Mr. Wenzlaff was also a carpenter. He was affiliated with the Zion Lutheran Church his entire lifetime.


Surviving are his wife, and children: Esther (John) Happley of Toluca, Leola (Walter) Volker of Wenona, Walter of Wenona and Herbert of Toluca; and four grandchildren.


In addition to his brother here, he leaves five sisters: Mesdames Herman Junker, Albertina Rademacher, Ralph Schmidt, all of Lakefield, Minnesota, and Mrs. Ida Junker and Mrs. Frank Schupp, both of Wenona.


Two sisters and one brother are deceased.
