1810-1814: Served as a Captain of the Westborough Light Infantry, Second Division, Second Brigade, Seventh Division of the Massachusetts Militia (circa War of 1812 but saw no battle)
1816-1829, Treasurer of the town of Westborough
1829: Representative of the General Court
1832: First Postmaster after re-establishment of the town post office.
