Katherine, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at her home. She was the daughter of Gordon Lavern and Mary Jane Elizabeth (Endline) Kidd.
In November of 1952, she married Coger Francis McClain. Coger preceded her in death on October 4, 1996.
Katherine was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars in Mt. Morris, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, traveling, camping, leather tooling, cake decorating and sold real estate. She loved animals, music and her grand children.
She is survived by her children: Lewis and Pam McClain of Owosso, Leland and Joelle McClain of Weidman, David and Sue McCalin of Lennon and James and Cindy McClain of Mt. Pleasant, along with seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents and a sister.
A funeral service celebrating Katherine's life was held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, from the Rowley Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Scott Smith of the Weidman United Methodist Church and Mr. Gene Methner officiating.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Isabella County Commission on Aging.
