Joshua James Meyer, our Sonny Boy, went on a journey to see our Lord, his savior on April 9, 2011. Waiting for him at the gates were his grandparents. Joshua was born on September 9, 1984 in Mesa, AZ to his proud parents, Jerry and Robin Meyer. Josh attended Fern Ave School, Madrona Middle School and graduated from Torrance High School, class of 2002. He went on to Devry and El Camino out of high school, but his true calling was being a longshoreman. He was following in his great grandfather's, his grandfather's and his uncle's steps. He was a casual, but longed to be permanent and was just short of 2000 hours. He was a LA Kings hockey fan. Josh is survived by his parents, Jerry and Robin Meyer; grandparents, Jim and Eriene Meyer; uncles, Gary Meyer and Jim Roggero and auntie Michele Roggero; cousins, Jennifer and Bret Meyer, Jimmy and John Roggero. He also has numerous close friends from childhood and growing up. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Jim and Barbara Roggero. We love you with all our hearts Sonny and long for the day when we will see you again. Services will be held at A.M. Gamby Funeral home, 25001 Narbonne Ave, Lomita, CA on Monday, April 18 at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
