Dies After Long Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. F.J. Kain, who died Wednesday, Aug. 15, after a long illness, were conducted Saturday morning at St. Ludger Catholic Church with the Rev. Roland Peschel officiating. Burial was in St. Ludger Cemetery.

Mrs. Kain was a lifelong resident of Knox County and lived on a farm near Verdigre until last December, when she moved to Creighton with her husband and daughter.

Helen E. Baker, daughter of Alva A. and Nellie Ayers Baker, was born July 27, 1909 at Verdigre. She received her education in Knox County rural schools and Creighton High School.

She married F.J. Kain at Neligh on Sept. 26, 1939. One daughter, Mary Ann, was born to them.

Surviving are her husband and daughter and one sister, Mrs. Nelliebee McMillan of Ogallala.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and a sister.
