At a young age, she moved with her parents from Union Co., to Grant Co., Indiana. She was united in marriage to John Miller. Her husband John died. She then married Isaac Pennington on October 18, 1879.
She united with the Methodist Protestant church at Herbst and lived a christian life until death.
She had been in ill health for several years. Ten days before her death she was stricken with paralysis, from which she never recovered.
She leaves to mourn her loss a companion, two brothers and many other relatives and friends.
Interment was made in the Thrailkill cemetery.
