John Evans Ashcraft, husband of Mrs. Iva Lee Holiway Ashcraft of Richmond, Kentucky, and the son of the late Kelton and Kansas Estes Ashcraft was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on February 22, 1933 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on July 14, 2013 at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 22 days. He was a loving father and grandfather and worked most of his life as a Pump Station Operator in the oil fields.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ashcraft is survived by two children, Michael Ashcraft of Richmond, Kentucky and Karen Ashcraft Rousell of Lexington, Kentucky; one grandson, Andrew Lee Ashcraft of Lexington; two sisters, Mary Jamal and Charlene Case; and one brother, Charles Perdue.
