Phyllis Dickerson Strader, 38, of DeShazo Road, Ridgeway, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2000, at the Southside Community Hospital in Farmville of injuries received in an automobile accident.
She had been employed for five years at the VF Knitwear Distribution Center.
A Henry County native, she was born on March 28, 1962, a daughter of Lossie Ballinger Dickerson of Ridgeway and the late Ras Dickerson.
She attended the Horsepasture Christian Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband, Martin Strader of the home; two daughters, Savannah Doris Strader and Shannon Gail Strader, both of the home; five sisters, Wanda Haskins of Spencer, Brenda Weiss of Martinsville, Patricia Thacker of Ridgeway and Nellie Graham and Lilly Martens, both of Martinsville; and one brother, Russell Palmer Dickerson of Ridgeway.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Collins Funeral Services in Bassett. The Rev. Joseph Hamilton will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville.
The family will receive friends at Collins Funeral Services from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.
